|The lnglewood Public Library will be hosting tax preparers from H&R Block as they present a series of free "Never Settle for Less " tax talk workshops beginning Saturday, February 1 lth at 11:OO a.m. in the Main Library's Gladys Waddingham Lecture Hall, 101 West Manchester Boulevard. The workshops are designed to educate lnglewood taxpayers about current tax issues so that they can get the best refund possible. |
Tax experts will help attendees answer questions such as: Who needs to file a tax return? What do 1 do if my only income last year was from unemployment benefits? What do I do with my W-2? What is a 1099? Can I deduct that? 1 have a small business in my home; how can I get help
to file my taxes? Can money sent home to family members in another country be claimed as an expense on my taxes? What is an ITIN? How do I e-file?
"We want to help our residents understand their rights and responsibilities as we enter this year'stax season," said lnglewood Mayor James T. Butts. These workshops are designed to provide helpful tax related information while taking the mystery out of the tax filing process."
Workshops will include a visual presentation followed by a question and answer session where H&R Block tax experts will answer a multitude of filing questions. Special discount certificates for affordabte tax preparation will be given away to all attendees along with free Tax Tip booklets!
