Assistance

The
City of Inglewood has committed to "Community Beautification and Economic
Development" as its priorities. Inglewood's Economic Development Division
was established to help foster vibrant and productive relationships between the
city and its business community through the creation of financial incentives and
services tailored to attract and retain a competitive and diverse business and
industry mix, and to enhance the local economy.
The Office of Economic & Business Development (OEBD) offers technical assistance
to assist businesses set on transitioning into the City with ease. We provide
one-on-one assistance either directly or via referral for businesses located
within the City of Inglewood, as well as to those seeking Inglewood as their
choice for relocation, expansion or entrepreneurial beginnings.
Our
staff is prepared to discuss your questions and concerns, as well as discuss
various aspects of your business operations. We are available; please call us at
(310) 412-8800 for an appointment in order that we may better serve your needs.

is currently managing a block-by-block Façade Improvement project. Businesses
along Market Street will benefit from a facelift along their frontages. An
experienced architecture firm is providing building enhancement services.
Each business address is eligible for:
- up to $2500 for design services,
- up to $2500 for signage and
- up to $10,000 in exterior improvements
(based on 40% of the total cost of improvements).
Businesses must complete their
projects before applying for their rebate.

This component of OEBD helps to coordinate community festivals, business grand
openings, special ceremonies, etc. A key thrust of these activities is to
generate community participation. OEBD provides strategic assistance in
coordinating involvement of public officials and community leaders, and will
assist with publicity efforts.
