The City Treasurer is elected at large and serves a four-year term. S/he is charged with safely investing public funds in a manner that shall provide the highest investment yield in accordance with the highest security criteria, safety, liquidity and yield. Investments must conform to state statutes, local laws and City Council ordinances and resolutions while meeting the daily cash flow demands of the City.
