| | | | | | | | | | | | | The Planning Commission consists of five Commissioners who are appointed by the City Council. The Planning Commission acts as an advisory body to the City Council on all planning matters, and makes determinations consistent with the provisions of the State Subdivision Map Act, CEQA, and the City of Inglewood Municipal Code. It formulates planning policies and conducts regular public hearings on the first Wednesday of each month. The five-member body makes decisions involving zoning and land use considerations. They are responsible for making final determinations for appeals to Site Plan Reviews, Zone Adjustments, Zone Variances, and Child Care Permits. Additionally, they make final determinations for Special Use Permits and Design Review requests (unless they are appealed to the City council). They also serve in an advisory capacity to the Council for Tract Maps, Zone Changes, General Plan Amendments and Zoning Code amendments.
