Background
Notes
Factual publications that contain information
on all the countries of the world with which
the United States has relations. They include
facts on the country's land, people, history,
government, political conditions, economy,
and its relations with other countries and
the United States. The Notes are updated/revised
by the Office of Electronic Information
and Publications of the Bureau of Public
Affairs as they are received from regional
bureaus and are added to the database of
the Department of State web site. |
Flags
of the World
FOTW is the Internet's largest site devoted
to vexillology (the study of flags). Here
you can read more than 23,000 pages about
flags and view more than 44,000 images of
flags. Also includes outlines of country
flags for coloring. |

Factbook
This site has lots of information and
hard-to-find statistics about the countries
of the world.

Mission Site
Featuring two histories for each of the
twenty-one California Missions, with beautiful
color photographs, fascinating green and
white sketches, and, for the first time
ever, authentic mission music. This music
was written in the missions during the late
1700's by the Spanish padres and the Native
Americans who lived and worked there.
