Environmental Services Division

As a part of the Public Works Department, Environmental Services is responsible for the planning, developing and implementation of citywide programs, which include solid waste management and household hazardous waste management.

The Public Works Department is proud of its commitment to Environmental Services. With the help of residents and business alike we managed to recycle almost 70% of this waste…this isgreat, but we can’t rest there.

In order to provide the City with quality services and to comply with the State of California’s, Solid waste Reduction Goal of 50%; we are working diligently to enhance the community’s recycling opportunities.  Beyond managing waste and debris after it has been generated we will work on emphasizing the importance of waste avoidance, Remember: Reduce, Reuse and Recycle.

The City and its residents place a great value on preserving precious resources that is why we believe it is important to offer programs that promote a healthy environment and improving Inglewood’s quality of life.
