Once again, the Inglewood Senior Center is coordinating their 4th Annual Holiday Gift and Food Drive. This program will benefit the senior citizens, disabled adults, caregivers (of elders and minor children) and their families. Communities served include Inglewood, Lennox, Hawthorne, Ladera Heights, Windsor Hills, and View Park.
Canned/dry food, non-perishable packaged food, and gift certificates from local stores (Ralph’s, Vons, Albertson’s, Target, Food 4 Less, etc.) will be collected. The Thursday, December 15th, Deadline has been extended to Monday, December 19, 2005. Donation drop off locations are the Inglewood Senior Center, City Hall – Parks, Recreation & Community Services (5th Floor), Darby Park, Rogers Park, and Vincent Park.
In addition to food, there is also a “Gifts from the Heart” wall where you can pick out a card with a person’s name and purchase a gift for that individual. The “Gifts from the Heart” wall is located on the 5th floor in the Parks, Recreation and Community Services office or stop by the wall at the Inglewood Senior Center. Bring your unwrapped new gifts to either location. Again, the Deadline is Monday, December 19, 2005.
