In celebration of our new integrated library system, Polaris, the Inglewood Public Library is offering a “Fines Free Week.” Beginning on Saturday, August 11th and running through Friday, August 17th, all Inglewood Library books returned will have no fines assessed.
This will allow patrons with long-overdue Library materials to return those items and have the fines cleared from their Library account. Fines Free Week does not apply to fines already accrued on any account for previously returned items or replacement fees for damaged or lost items.
The Inglewood Public Library encourages all patrons with Library books or audio-visual materials that have not been returned to the Library to do so during Fines Free Week. Patrons may bring their overdue materials to the Main Library or any branch and have their fines forgiven.
During the transition to the new library system, all locations will be closed on Saturday, August 18, and Sunday, August 19. The libraries will reopen for normal operations on Monday, August 20, with the Polaris system in place.
