I-Thrive: For Excellence
Join the Parks, Recreation and Community Services Department for a day of fun and excitement at Rogers Park on Saturday, May 2 from 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.  The event is exclusively designed to increase public awareness about the programs, activities and services offered through the Parks, Recreation and Community Services Department.  Participants will have the opportunity to visit booths and obtain information about Recreation, Senior Services, Parks, Inglewood Police Activities League, Youth and Family Services and Code Enforcement divisions.  The day of event highlights include a youth soccer tournament, staff –vs- community basketball game and a boxing exhibition.  The event will also host yoga, dance, martial arts, health, scrapbooking and gardening workshops throughout the day.   Other activities include arts and crafts, face painting, story telling and a magic show. 

Participants will also have the opportunity to register for classes and activities offered through the department including Summer Day Camp.  Anyone who registers for Summer Day Camp on the day of the event will receive a “free” Summer Care Kit.  Join the City of Inglewood for a day of fun and excitement.  For more information about this event, contact the Parks, Recreation and Community Services Department Cultural Office at (310) 412-8700.
