Inglewood Public Library Announces New Operating Hours for 2009-2010
On September 29, the Inglewood City Council adopted a city budget for Fiscal Year 2009-2010 which reduces expenditures for most city departments.  The Inglewood Public Library budget, including city overhead charges, was reduced from $4,447,882 to $3,870,021.

Library Director Bruce Johnson has announced a new schedule of operating hours, effective Monday, October 5, 2009.  The schedule maximizes the hours at each location, within the budget constraints.  The Library set this schedule after a careful study of usage and circulation by hour and day at each of the city's three libraries, with the goal of minimizing the impact of reduced hours on Library patrons.  Service will be provided seven days a week, including four evenings.

The Main Library at 101 W. Manchester Blvd. will be open Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m., Thursday and Friday from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m., Saturday from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., and Sunday from 1 to 5 p.m.

The Morningside Park Branch Library, 3202 W. 85th Street, will be open Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.

The Crenshaw-Imperial Branch Library, 11141 S. Crenshaw Blvd., will operate Monday, Tuesday, and Friday from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m., Thursday from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m., and Saturday from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.
