On Saturday, July 26th, Inglewood Cultural Arts, Inc., will present the 2014 Afro-Latin Festival of Music and Dance at the Edward Vincent, Jr. Park Amphitheater from 12 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. This event, which is co-sponsored by the City of Inglewood, is for all ages and absolutely free. Grab your family and friends, pack a lunch and come and enjoy Afro-Latin music and dance. Festival participants will include musical artists Mexico68, Atabey, Conjuncto Jardin and Batuque People, dance artist Kati Hernandez and drumming from Lazaro Galarraga. The purpose of the event is to demonstrate the similarities between the African-American and Latin cultures using music and dance and provide a memorable and educational cultural arts event. The event is sponsored in part by the National Endowment for The Arts, The Alliance for California Traditional Arts, City of Inglewood and individual supporters.
