We meet every Thursday for lively discussion about a special book. New members welcome!

Our current book is A Tree Grows in Brooklyn by Betty Smith. This classic turn-of-the-century novel tells the moving story of Francie Nolan, a young girl growing up in the slums of New York City.

Have questions on how to get the most use out of your smartphone, tablet, laptop, or other personal electronic device? Bring it by the Crenshaw-Imperial Branch Library on Wednsedays and our staff will help you learn to download, upload, email, text, and more. Before you know it, you'll be using technology like a professional.

Students grades Pre-K to 12 are invited to receive help with their school assignments from a certified Teacher-Librarian. The librarian will do his best to give all attendees equal attention, but space may be limited.

Come exercise your mind with the cerebral yet relaxing game of chess. It's one of the oldest board games in the world, but remains just as fun as ever. All are welcome, even if you’ve never played before. Instructional handouts and books will also be available.
