About the Program
Attention Inglewood residents, homeowners, and business owners,
The purpose of this letter is to remind you of the Code Enforcement Cost Recovery Program. This law will only affect persons with code enforcement violations on their properties or businesses.
The initial violation, if corrected, does not carry a penalty. If the violation is not corrected by the compliance date, a first citation for the same violation will carry a fine of $100. If you receive a second citation for the same violation, it will carry an additional $200 fine and a third citation for the same violation will result in an additional $500 fine.
After the third citation, the case will be forwarded to the City Attorney for a criminal complaint which may result in additional fines and penalties.
These procedures have been established to encourage repeat property maintenance offenders to comply more quickly, while offsetting associated Code Enforcement costs.
