Annual Program Fee

Registration fees are intended to recover the City’s reasonable costs associated with enforcing its housing protection regulations as outlined in Chapter 8 (Articles 9 and 10) of the Inglewood Municipal Code, and related inspection programs.

Registration fees for FY 2022-2023 are as follows:

$184 per unit for the following unit types:

  1.  Parcels with three or more units;
  2.  Non Owner-Occupied duplexes/2 units on a parcel;
  3.  Single family homes or condos not owned by a natural person or family trust.

* The annual program fee adopted by the Inglewood City Council is $206.  The discounted fee of $184 is not inclusive of the $22 charge for the Proactive Rental Housing Inspection Program, which will be implemented in the future.

$92 per unit with a Section 8 tenant for the following unit types:

  1.  Parcels with three or more units;
  2.  Non Owner-Occupied duplexes/2 units on a parcel;
  3.  Single family homes or condos not owned by a natural person or family trust.

 $0 registration fee for all residential properties/units listed below that complete registration prior to the registration deadline:

  1.  Owner-Occupied duplex (2 units on a parcel) in which the owner established tenancy before the tenant;
  2.  Any unit whose Certificate of Occupancy is not older than 15 years from the current date;
  3.  Properties/Units whose rents are less than 70% of Fair Market Rents (FMR).
    • The system will automatically calculate the registration fees Owners do NOT have to apply for an exemption.  

As of April 1st, if registration has not been completed and the fees remain unpaid, monthly penalties will be imposed, as well as a potential lien on the property tax bill.
