Annual Program Fee for 2021-2022

The City’s Housing Protection Program commences in October 2021; However the City Council revised the registration due date for the initial year to January 7, 2022.  The City Council has waived fees for all residential units registered between January 7, 2022 and March 31, 2022.  For Residential units registered between April 1, 2022 and April 30, 2022, registration fees must be paid.  Penalties will be imposed on any units registered after April 30, 2022.   

Registration fees are intended to recover the City’s reasonable costs associated with enforcing its housing protection regulations as outlined in Articles 9 and 10 Chapter 8 of the Inglewood Municipal Code and related inspection programs.

Registration fees for FY 2021-2022 are as follows:

$184 per unit for the following unit types:

  1. Parcels with three or more units;
  2. Non Owner-Occupied duplexes/2 units on a parcel;
  3. Duplexes/2 units owned by a company, LLC, Corporation, or Real Estate Investment Trust;
  4. Single family homes or condos owned by a company, LLC, Corporation, or Real Estate Investment Trust;

$92 per unit with a Section 8 tenant for the following unit types:

  1. Parcels with three or more units;
  2. Non Owner-Occupied duplexes/2 units on a parcel;
  3. Duplexes/2 units owned by a company, LLC, Corporation, or Real Estate Investment Trust;
  4. Single family homes or condos owned by a company, LLC, Corporation, or Real Estate Investment Trust;

$0 registration fee for all residential units below that complete registration prior to the registration deadline.

  1. Single-family homes (and any permitted accessory dwelling units on duplexes, provided that the owner is not a company, LLC, Corporation, or Real Estate Investment Trust;
  2. Owner-Occupied duplex (2 units on a parcel) in which the owner establishes tenancy before the tenant.
  3. Any unit whose Certificate of Occupancy is not older than 15 years from the current date.
  4. Units whose rents are less than 70% of Fair Market Value.
