STR Application Process

Short-Term Rental (STR) property owners must complete an application and verify they have met all requirements pursuant to Ordinance No. 22-15.  An STR permit must be obtained prior to operating.

The application, proof of ownership, proof of residency, and acceptable forms of payment for the permit fee must be submitted to the Inglewood Finance Department located on the first floor of Inglewood City Hall, One West Manchester Boulevard (A complete checklist of the required docs can be found below).  Once the application has been approved, an STR Permit will be mailed to the Host. 

Accepted Documentation for Proof of Residency:

A valid government issued photo identification card or driver’s license that displays the STR address, plus one of the following:

  • Recent Utility Bill (Water, Electric, Trash)
  • Valid DMV Registration
  • Recent Insurance Bill
  • Recent Tax Returns

Accepted Documentation for Proof of Ownership:

  • Deed
  • Property Tax Bill 

 *The STR Permit application fees for 2023 are $500 (Hosted), $600 (Unhosted), $600 (Vacation Rental).  All hosts who were issued a Temporary Permit and choose to continue operating a Short Term Rental in 2023 must obtain a new permit by January 31, 2023.
