The City of Inglewood receives federal funding from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD). The funds can be used to continue programs that do the following.
- Address affordable housing needs.
- Assist homeless persons.
- Provide adequate infrastructure - including street and sidewalk reconstruction.
- Address fair housing issues.
- Support programs that enhance civic/community design including protection of the environment, neighborhood preservation, and economic development.
Community Meetings
Community meetings are held throughout the City of Inglewood to gather citizen input on how the City should spend these federal funds. Residents, businesses, and community groups are invited to participate in order to learn more about City programs and provide comments or suggestions concerning the City's community development programs. The City conducts community meetings annually during the months of May and June.
