The Human Services Division offers both opportunities for all to contribute to community betterment as well as offers services to meet community needs. These opportunities and services encompass children, families, youth and senior citizens. Opportunities include inter-generational and inter-cultural exchanges and research and education about the history of Inglewood, its people and sites of historic and cultural significance.
Programs & Services
In Human Services, we create community by improving lives through programs such as:
After-school snacks for youth 18 and under
Computer classes, transportation assistance, social services, and educational and recreational programs for senior citizens, disabled adults and care givers
Senior citizen meals and free summer lunches
Tutoring and college and career preparation for teens
Volunteer, historic preservation, and wellness opportunities for all ages
We take a proactive approach to generating resources through grants, and collaborations with community partners, which enhance economic development, education, the arts, inter-generational and inter-cultural exchanges and citizen advocacy and empowerment. We create community for today and for the future.
