Commissions & Boards

The Parks, Recreation and Library Services Department has three advisory boards and commissions: Arts Commission, Park and Recreation Commission, and Library Board. Each group meets once a month to discuss and advise staff and Council Members about the needs and concerns of the community. These meetings are open to the public.   1. Arts Commission

    The authorized role of the Arts Commission is that of voicing the needs and concerns of the community to the Parks, Recreation and Library Services Department, and the City Council.

  2. Library Board

    The Library Board’s duties and functions are "to act in a general advisory capacity to the City Council in all matters pertaining to the municipal library operation."

  3. Park & Recreation Commission

    The authorized role of the Parks and Recreation Commission is that of voicing the needs and concerns of the community to the Parks, Recreation and Library Services Department, and the City Council.

  4. Senior Center Advisory Committee

    On June 19, 2012, the City Council and the Successor Agency authorized moving forward with the Design-Build concept for the construction of the new Senior Center in the City of Inglewood. To keep the senior community and other stakeholders apprised of the project’s process and progress, the City Council and the Successor Agency authorized the formation of the Advisory Committee.
