Contest a Parking Citation

You may contest your parking ticket within 21 days of the issuance of the citation or 14 days from the date of the courtesy reminder you receive by mail. The first step available in contesting a citation is the Administrative Review.

Methods


There are three methods for starting this process.
  1. By Phone - Questions relating to the issuance of a parking ticket or starting of the Administrative Review process should be directed to the Parking Enforcement division at 310-412-8732.
  2. In Writing - You must indicate your reasons for requesting an Administrative Review and include copies of all supporting documentation (documentation will not be returned) relating to the citation, i.e., photographs, Disabled Persons place card, ID card, permit holder information, etc and mail to:

  3. In Person - Please gather all supporting documentation and take it with you to the Parking Enforcement division at the following address.

    Hours: Monday - Thursday from 7:30 a.m. - 5:30 p.m., closed every other Friday.
Note: No fee need be posted at the Administrative Review process. However, the fee must be posted if you are found liable for the citation and wish to pursue the process to the Administrative Hearing.
