Municipal Election Cycles

General Municipal Elections are held in every even-numbered year. The Seats for Council District Numbers 1 and 2 and the Inglewood Unified School Board Member Numbers 1, 2 and 3 are held concurrently; Council District Numbers 3 and 4, City Clerk, City Treasurer and Inglewood Unified School Board Member Numbers 4 and 5 are held concurrently.

Mayoral Elections are held in November every other even numbered year (The year in between the General Municipal Elections).

Seats for the Mayor, City Clerk, City Treasurer and School Board are elected at large (School Board Members are elected at large by the voters within Inglewood Unified School District boundaries as opposed to the City boundaries). Seats for the City Council are elected by their respective Districts. All seats have a term of four years.

As the administrator for the Fair Political Practices Division, it is the City Clerk's responsibility to maintain election campaign disclosure reports and economic interest disclosure reports.
