When applicants leave the orientation, they will have a greater understanding as to what they need to do to increase their chances of getting hired with an agency.

Background orientations will be held in Community Room A in Inglewood City Hall located at:
Inglewood City Hall
1 W Manchester Boulevard
Community Room A, First Floor
Inglewood, CA 90301

If you require special services or aids due to a verifiable disability, please contact the Police Personnel Department at 310-412-5236 within five (5) days prior to the scheduled exam date. At this time we do not offer language translators for examination processes.

Invitations to the Testing Process

The majority of invitations to participate in our testing processes are conducted via email. It is incumbent that applicants regularly check their email so as to not miss invites to participate. Please ensure that your email is legibly written on your application or your invitation to participate in our processes might not be received.

If the Inglewood Police Department (IPD) email is being marked as spam by you're service provider, please ensure you add it to your safe sender list. Instructions for major providers can be found on the inTouch Broadcast website.

If No Invitation is Received

In the event you submit an application and do not get a response/invitation to the written examination, please contact the Background Section at least two (2) days prior to the test.
