Vice & Intelligence

Overview

The Inglewood Police Department's Vice Section was created in 2005 to address serious quality of life related issues in the community. The Section is comprised of a team of investigators.

The Vice Section is responsible for the investigation and enforcement relating to the following types of crimes including CCWs.

Prostitution

Enforcement of street level and massage parlor prostitution such as pimping, pandering and human trafficking.

Lewd & Lascivious Activity

Lewd conduct at parks, bookstores and other locations known for such activity. Vice personnel routinely conduct "Operation Safe Park," which are sting operations that target lewd conduct at City parks.

Alcohol & Beverage Control (ABC)

Enforce and ensure compliance of all ABC licensed establishments in Inglewood. Vice personnel routinely conduct ABC related undercover operations, including those operations that address underage consumption of alcohol by minors.

Gaming Operations

Oversee gaming operations at the Hollywood Park Casino and the Hollywood Park Racetrack.

Intelligence

Monitor and gather intelligence information on labor disputes, marches, rallies and other events that have an affect on Inglewood.

Intellectual Property Rights

Conduct operations targeting counterfeit and piracy of DVD, CD's and clothing merchandise.
