Inglewood Police Department maintains a detention facility for adult arrestees.  Prisoners are held until they go to court or until they are bailed out from this department.

Visitation

The Inglewood Police Department allows visitation of inmates daily between 12:00 p.m. – 03:00 p.m. Those who wish to visit inmates must abide by the following guidelines in order to be permitted into our facility:

 Non Professional:

  • Possess valid California identification in the form of a driver's license or passport identification.
  • Only two (2) adults are allowed per visit.
  • No person under 18 is allowed to visit an inmate unless an adult accompanies them with proper identification.
  • All potential visitors may be checked for criminal history and wanted person status to insure the safety of the police and jail facility.
  • Visitors shall be subject to a pat-down search by the desk officer or jail personnel.
  • Non-professional visits should be limited to 15 minutes and may be shortened or canceled due to visitation backlog, disturbances, or staff workload.

Professional:

  • Licensed Attorneys, legitimate clergy members, mental health or medical personnel, and government representatives, including those of a foreign country, may visit an inmate at any time.
  • Possess valid identification in the form of a California driver’s license, passport, military identification card, or government-issued identification.
  • Visitors shall be subject to a pat-down search by the desk officer or jail personnel.
  • Professional visits have unlimited time.
