Doors to the City Council Chamber will open at 1:30 p.m. for Open Session. Please be mindful, however, that there is limited seating in the City Council Chambers; therefore, the Gladys Waddingham Lecture Hall (located adjacent to the Main Library) will be opened as an overflow room and will be available for the public to watch the meeting and to speak.  

 

ALTERNATIVE METHODS

The City provides the following two alternative methods of viewing and listening to the City Council Meeting as a convenience:   

  • On Spectrum Cable Channel 35 with audio and limited video.  Please check with your cable provider for details.
  • Live online through Facebook Live, with audio and limited video, at https://www.facebook.com/cityofinglewood/

 

The disruption in service of any alternative method does not preclude the City Council or other legislative body from taking further action on an agenda item.

 

Submitting Comments Prior to Public Meeting: Members of the public may choose to submit comments electronically for consideration by the City Council or other City Legislative Body by sending them to the City Clerk/Secretary at athompson@cityofinglewood.organd Deputy City Clerk at aallen@cityofinglewood.org. To ensure distribution to the members of the Legislative Body prior to consideration of the agenda, please submit comments prior to 8:00 a.m. the day of the meeting, and in the body of the email, please identify the agenda number or subject matter. Correspondence should indicate the meeting date and agenda item. Comments received after 8:00 a.m. and prior to the close of the public hearings will be made part of the official public record of the meeting. Public hearing to consider adoption of a resolution approving a certain Special Use Permit request to allow an approximately 70,000 square-foot addition to an existing 156,000 square-foot 6-story self-storage facility on an approximately 74,000 square-foot, M-1 (Light Manufacturing) zoned property at 937-959 West Hyde Park Boulevard. 

Recommendation:

 


  1. Receive public comments; 
  2. Affirm the categorical exemption EA-CE-2022-129; and 
  3. Adopt the attached Resolution approving Special Use Permit No. SP-2022-008 (Self-Storage Facility at 937-959 West Hyde Park Boulevard) with appropriate findings and subject to 13 Conditions if the Mayor and Council Members determine to approve Special Use Permit No. SP-2022-008;

Make the appropriate findings if the Mayor and Council members determine to deny Special Use Permit No. 2022-008.

Public hearing to consider amending the Master Fee Schedule to reflect a year-over-year 8% increase in the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics Consumer Price Index (CPI).

Staff report recommending that the Mayor and Council Members award a contract and approve an agreement with Mehta Mechanical Company, Inc. dba MMC, Inc. (Contractor), using American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) Grant Funds, for the North Inglewood Booster Pump No. 3 Replacement Project, per Bid No. CB-23-05. (General Fund)

Staff report recommending that the Mayor and Council Members award a contract and approve an agreement with S&L Specialty Construction, Inc. (S&L) to provide residential sound insulation work on 45 residential units (RSI Phase XV, Group 36), per Bid No. CB-23-06. (Noise Mitigation Fund)

  1. Award a contract and approve agreement in a total amount not to exceed $2,384,595 (includes a City controlled and directed 10% contingency of $214,200 and Special Expenses of $28,395); and

Staff report recommending that the Mayor and Council Members approve an agreement with Dynamic Planning, LLC (DP+S) for work related to the City’s Hazard Mitigation Plan. (Grant Fund)

  2. Authorize payment of outstanding invoices submitted by Dynamic Planning, LLC for work related to the City’s Hazard Mitigation Plan, in the total amount of $45,846.26 (Grant Fund); and
