Staff report recommending adoption of a resolution ratifying the following appointments to the South Bay Workforce Investment Board (SBWIB):
On May 25, 2021, the City of Hawthorne appointed Mr. Andrew Fowler, Managing Partner of Los Angeles Ale Works, to serve a 4-year term of office expiring June 30, 2025.
On June 8, 2021, the City of Gardena appointed Mr. Spencer Dela Cruz, Economic Development Manager for the City of Gardena, to serve a 4-year term of office that commences on July 1, 2021, and will end on June 30, 2025.
On May 18, 2021, the City of Manhattan Beach re-appointed Mr. Joe Ahn, Manager of State & Local Affairs at the Northrop Grumman Corporation, to serve a 4-year term of office ending June 30, 2025.
On April 19, 2021, the City of Lawndale appointed Mr. Roderick Edison, General Engineering Contractor for Max Out, Inc., to serve a 4-year term of office that commences on July 1, 2021, and will end on June 30, 2025.
On June 1, 2021, the City of El Segundo re-appointed Ms. Lily Craig, External Affairs Manager at Chevron, to serve a 4-year term of office ending June 30, 2025.
On July 6, 2021, the City of Carson re-appointed Ms. Janice Jimenez, President of Regal Real Estate and Financial Services, to serve a 4-year term of office ending June 30, 2025.
On June 22, 2021, the City of Torrance re-appointed Mr. Michael Brenk, Vice President of Finance & HR at Bachem Americas, Inc. to serve a 4-year term of office that commences on July 1, 2021, and will end on June 30, 2025.
On May 20, 2021, the Los Angeles County Community Action Board re-nominated Dr. Lance Williams, Community Action Board Chairperson, to serve a 4-year term of office ending June 30, 2025.
On June 1, 2021, the Hawthorne Chamber of Commerce appointed Ms. Patricia Donaldson, President/CEO of the Hawthorne Chamber of Commerce, to serve a 4-year term of office that commences on July 1, 2021, and will end on June 30, 2025.
On April 12, 2021, the Lawndale Chamber of Commerce re-appointed Ms. Ruthi Davis, 1st Vice President for the Lawndale Chamber of Commerce, to serve a 4-year term of office ending June 30, 2025.
Staff report recommending approval of Amendment No. 1 to Agreement No. 20-218 with Ocean Blue Environmental Services, Incorporated (Ocean Blue), extending the Agreement for one year (as provided in the original Agreement), for on-call scheduled city-wide hazardous waste removal services. The members of the City Council will provide oral reports, including reports on City related travels where lodging expenses are incurred, and/or address any matters they deem of general interest to the public.
