COVID-19 PUBLIC SERVICE ANNOUNCEMENT REGARDING MEETINGS OF 

THE INGLEWOOD CITY COUNCIL AND OTHER CITY LEGISLATIVE BODIES

 

Until further notice, meetings of the Inglewood City Council and other City legislative bodies will be conducted pursuant to California Government Code section 54953(e), which allows the City to use teleconferencing for members of the public to access a meeting and to address the legislative body via a call-in option.

 

CALL-IN OPTION

 

  1. Members of the public who wish to attend a public meeting and address the City Council or other legislative body during a public meeting must use the call-in option noted below:

 

  • Members of the public may listen and make oral public comments telephonically by dialing:

In the event of a disruption which prevents the City from broadcasting the meeting to the public using the call-in option, or in the event of a disruption within the City’s control which prevents the public from offering public comments using the call-in option, the City Council and other legislative body shall take no further action on items appearing on the meeting agenda until public access to the meeting via the call-in option is restored. 

 

 


 

 

ALTERNATIVE METHODS

 

The City also provides alternative methods for members of the public to submit comments and/or to observe a public meeting.  The following alternative methods are provided to the public as a matter of convenience only and the disruption in service to any alternative method does not preclude the City Council or other legislative body from taking further action on an agenda item.  In the event of a disruption to any alternative method below members of the public should use the call-in option above.  

 

2. Submitting Comments Prior to Public Meeting: Members of the public may choose to submit comments electronically for consideration by the City Council or other City Legislative Body by sending them to the City Clerk/Secretary at athompson@cityofinglewood.organd Deputy City Clerk at aallen@cityofinglewood.org. To ensure distribution to the members of the Legislative Body prior to consideration of the agenda, please submit comments prior to 8:00 a.m. the day of the meeting, and in the body of the email, please identify the agenda number or subject matter. Correspondence should indicate the meeting date and agenda item. Comments received after 8:00 a.m. and prior to the close of the public hearings will be made part of the official public record of the meeting. Contact the Office of the City Clerk at 310-412-5280 with any questions.

 

3. Viewing and Listening to the Meeting without Making Public Comments:

  • On Spectrum Cable Channel 35 with audio and limited video.  Please check with your cable provider for details.

4. Public attendance at Gladys Waddingham Lecture Hall (located adjacent to the Main Library) to view meeting and make public comments via audio/video.

Staff report recommending the Mayor and Council Members approve an amendment to the 2020 payment authorization for annual software licensing renewals and equipment maintenance to include encumbrances for the Housing Protection Department Short Term Rental Program.  (General Fund)

Recommendation:

  1. Amend the 2020 payment authorization to include the following:

a) Increase the encumbrance for MRI Software LLC (Happy Software, Inc.) in the amount of $51,750 to provide software for a short term rental inspection module; and

b) Include a two-year encumbrance (with the option to extend three additional years in one-year increments) in the amount of $83,000 for Granicus LLC to provide software for short term rental identification and compliance monitoring services.

Staff report recommending the Mayor and Council Members approve Amendment No. 1 to Agreement No. 22-022 with Optima RPM, Inc., to increase the contingency by $275,000 ($2,202,310.93 to $2,477,310.93), and add 15 working days for a total of 155 working days for additional services and unforeseen conditions. Staff report recommending the Mayor and Council Members adopt a resolution to rescind Resolution No. 22-121, and ratify appointments to the South Bay Workforce Investment Board (SBWIB).

Recommendation:

  1. Rescind Resolution No. 22-121, and Inglewood’s appointment of Mike Harriel, Brigitte Calderon, and Mike Hailey; and
  2. Adopt a resolution ratifying the following: 
  1. The City of Hawthorne’s re-appointment of Mr. Jamin Gallman, Head of Diversity, Inclusion & Learning at SpaceX and Mr. Marc Weiss, Owner and President of Commercial Consulting, Inc., to serve 4-year terms of office expiring June 30, 2026. 
  2. The City of Lawndale’s appointment of Mr. Eduardo Leiva, CEO of the Leiva Group LLC, Leiva Holdings, Inc., and Azucanela LLC, to serve a 4-year term of office that commences on July 1, 2022, and will end on June 30, 2026.
  3. The City of Torrance’s appointment of Mr. Paul Russell, Chief Executive Officer at Stellant Systems, to serve an existing term of office expiring June 30, 2023.
  4. The City of Gardena’s appointment of Ms. Jenifer Harris, Director of Special Populations at Behavioral Health Services, Inc., to serve a 4-year term of office expiring June 30, 2026. 
  5. The City of Gardena’s appointment of Mr. Patrick Caster, Chief Executive Officer for the Memorial Hospital of Gardena, to the SBWIB as a business private sector representative under a term of office that will expire June 30, 2024.
  6. The City of Gardena’s appointment of Ms. Jackie Choi, Economic Development Manager for the City of Gardena, to serve an existing term of expiring June 30, 2025. 
  7. The El Camino College Board of Trustees’ re-nomination of Dr. Brenda Thames, Superintendent/President of El Camino College, to serve a 4-year term of office expiring on June 30, 2026.
  8. California State University, Dominguez Hills’ re-nomination of Mr. J. Kim McNutt, Dean of College of Extended and International Education, to serve on the SBWIB under a new term of office expiring June 30, 2026.
  9. The Los Angeles County Federation of Labor’s appointment of Mr. Kendrick Roberson, Mr. Armando Pena, and Mr. Josh Lafarga to serve additional 4-year terms of office expiring on June 30, 2026.
