FATAL TRAFFIC COLLISION

                   

On Sunday, September 29, 2019 at approximately 02:29 AM, Inglewood Police Officers responded to the area of Florence Avenue and Market Street in regards to a single car traffic collision.

                   

Preliminary investigation reveals that a Honda Accord traveling west on Florence Avenue collided with a tree near Market Street.

                   

As a result of the collision, a 22-year-old male resident of Los Angeles sustained major injuries but unfortunately succumbed to his injuries. The identity of the driver is being withheld pending notification to a next of kin.

                   

Four passengers in the vehicle, a 20-year-old female, a 23-year-old male, a 20-year-old female and an unidentified adult female were transported to a local hospital with varying injuries.

                   

It is unknown, at this time, if alcohol/drugs may be a factor in this collision.

                   

This collision is being investigated by the Inglewood Police Department’s Traffic Division.
