Homicide Investigation - Suspect in Custody

HOMICIDE INVESTIGATION – SUSPECT IN CUSTODY

On September 27, 2019, at approx. 1:53 AM, the victim in this case, Adrian Johnson, was shot and killed in the yard of a home in the 100 Blk. of North Ash Street in the City of Inglewood. A homicide investigation was started immediately and has been active since that time. As a result of that investigation, homicide detectives identified a suspect believed responsible for murdering the victim.

On December 4th, 2019, a combined task force of IPD detectives and Special Enforcement Team personnel arrested Lancelot Joshua Wilburn (37) a resident of Bellflower for murder. On December 6th, 2019, the case was presented to the Los Angeles County District Attorney for filing consideration. The DAs office filed murder and related felony charges against Wilburn. Bail in this matter has been set at $1,100,000.00.
