chief

Inglewood Police Department received $46,296 in state funding to help reduce alcohol related crimes and to further raise community awareness as part of the California Department of Alcoholic Beverage Control’s (ABC) Alcohol Policing Partnership grant.

Inglewood, Calif. - On June 9, 2020, the Inglewood Police Department received $46,296 in state funding to help reduce alcohol related crimes and to further raise community awareness as part of the California Department of Alcoholic Beverage Control’s (ABC) Alcohol Policing Partnership grant.

The Alcohol Policing Partnership program was created in 1995 to strengthen partnerships between ABC, local law enforcement agencies, and community partners. The program was designed to increase compliance with alcohol-related laws by establishments licensed to sell alcohol, reduce alcohol use by minors, increase local awareness of alcohol-related issues, and reduce other crimes associated with the sale and use of alcohol.

The Inglewood Police Department will use these funds to deter alcohol related crimes, raise community awareness, and provide training for Department personnel and community partners.
