[ARCHIVED] Inglewood and PepsiCo Partner for Annual Thanksgiving Turkey Giveaway at Hollywood Park

INGLEWOOD, CALIF. (November 13, 2023) –The City of Inglewood will host its 9th Annual Turkey Giveaway brought to you by PepsiCo, on Tuesday, November 21st, from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. at Hollywood Park. The event will serve approximately 2,500 Inglewood residents, providing turkeys donated by Don Lee Farms, a box of sides and additional items from Pepsi, Frito-Lay, Melissa’s Produce, and Rockstar Energy Drink. The City will also work with the Los Angeles Rams, the Los Angeles Chargers and the Los Angeles Clippers for the giveaway. 

The Thanksgiving Turkey Giveaway is a drive-thru event and participants must be registered in advance to receive the items. The event registration has reached capacity in each of the last three years it’s been hosted at Hollywood Park. No walk-ups will be allowed. To register, visit this link.

In attendance at the giveaway will be Inglewood Mayor James T. Butts, members of the City Council, and Hollywood Park executives. “Food security is an important facet in all our lives,” said Mayor Butts. “It’s important no matter the season, but we hope this event will not only bring some relief for those residents experiencing hardships, but also bring everyone some much needed holiday cheer. We are appreciative of our sponsoring partner, Pepsi, and our host SoFi Stadium and Hollywood Park, as well as for the helping hand offered by DonLee Farms and Snoop Dogg. Snoop has been a supporter of this event since its inception,” said Mayor Butts.

We are proudly committed to bringing positive impacts and holiday cheer to local families as they celebrate the season for the third year in a row.”

Other donated items include 2,000 boxes of produce with 5lbs russet potatoes, 2lbs carrots, and 3lbs Granny Smith apples in each box from Melissa’s, a specialty produce distributor. In addition, the event day will be supported by over 150 community and corporate volunteers.
