On Monday, August 28, 2017, at approximately 5:15 pm, a resident in the 600 block of W. Ellis Ave. came home during a burglary in progress. There were 2 male Black suspects described as late teens to early 20’s, 5’6” slim build, as depicted in the photographs below. The female victim was ordered into a bathroom as one of the suspects simulated a handgun. They stole money from her purse and several items of jewelry. They were last seen by a witness running eastbound on Ellis Ave. and out of sight.
