Professional Background
Matthew Chambers began his career with the City of Inglewood's Information Technology and Communications (ITC) department in 1996. During his tenure, he has held a number of lead positions, namely, Network and Support Service Manager, Systems Administrator and Systems Analyst.
Current Role
In his current role as ITC Director for the City, he brings a wide range of technical experience, leadership skills, and project and business management capabilities to support the internal needs of the Cityas well as providing essential technological expertise to the residents of Inglewood.
Personal Life
Mr. Chambers grew up in the City of Inglewood and is currently a resident as well. He takes pride in his hometown which is the mechanism that drives him to be responsive to the needs of the community. His vision is to bring technology to the forefront of the community and to continue improving the level and quality of service to the community through technology.
Education
Mr. Chambers holds a bachelor's degree in Business from California State University Dominguez Hills with an emphasis on Computer Information Systems. His accomplishments also include various technical and management certifications, and he is currently serving as Inglewood Management Employee Organization (IMEO) Union President.
